FAQ

Fabric and fit
What does GSM actually mean?
Grams per square metre — the weight of the fabric. A high-street hoodie is typically 280 to 320 g/m². Ours run from 400 to 500. Heavier fabric holds its shape, drapes from the shoulder instead of clinging, and takes far longer to thin at the elbows.
Will a 480 g/m² hoodie be too warm?
It is warmer than a mid-weight hoodie, but heavyweight loopback cotton breathes well because the inside face is unbrushed. It is comfortable from roughly 4°C to 18°C over a t-shirt. For warmer weather, look at the 400 g/m² Camden Loopback or the activewear.
How do your sizes run?
True to size with a deliberately relaxed body and a dropped shoulder. If you are between sizes and want a closer fit, take the smaller one — heavyweight cotton relaxes slightly with wear but does not grow. Every product page has a size guide with the garment measured flat in centimetres.
Will it shrink?
The fabric is washed twice before cutting, so residual shrinkage is under two per cent. Wash cold and dry flat and you will not notice it. Tumble drying hot will shrink any heavyweight cotton, including ours.
Lots and availability
What is a lot?
A single production run, numbered rather than named after a season. We cut between 120 and 300 pieces of a design and then stop. The lot number is printed on the care label and listed on every product page.
Will sold-out pieces come back?
Limited pieces do not return. Remaking one would mean a new yarn order and a new minimum from the mill, and by then we are working on the next lot. Pieces marked Core are the exception: those stay in production year round at the same weight and price.
Do you ever run a sale?
No. We cut small runs so there is nothing left to clear, and the price on the page is the price the garment costs to make properly. Discounting it later would mean the first price was wrong.
How do I get access to a drop?
Join the list at the bottom of any page. Subscribers get the link an hour before it is public, which on a run of 120 pieces is the difference between getting one and reading about it. We write once per lot and use your address for nothing else.
Orders and delivery
When will my order arrive?
UK standard is 2–3 working days and is included on orders over £150. UK express is Next working day for £9. International is 4–8 working days, calculated at checkout. Pieces from a live drop are dispatched within two working days of the release closing.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Yes, worldwide. Duties and import taxes are not included in the price and are payable on delivery in most countries outside the UK. We declare the full value, because under-declaring is fraud and it is your parcel that gets held.
Can I change or cancel an order?
Email the studio within two hours of ordering and we will almost always catch it. After that the parcel is usually packed, so the simplest route is to return it once it arrives.
Returns and repairs
What is your returns policy?
30 days from delivery, unworn and with the tags on. UK returns are free. We refund to the original payment method within five working days of the parcel reaching us.
Can I exchange a size on a limited piece?
Yes, where we still hold stock in the size you want. Limited runs mean we sometimes cannot, in which case we refund you rather than leaving you waiting on something that is not coming.
What if a seam fails?
Send a photograph and your order number to the studio. If something fails inside two years of normal wear we repair it, and if it cannot be repaired we replace it. This covers construction, not accidental damage or ordinary wear.
